Treating Parkinson's Disease with High Dose Vitamin B1
Many of us may have known family or friends who have suffered with Parkinson's, a vile, degenerative life changing disease.
There is however, a little known, yet powerful protocol, discovered by an Italian neurologist called Dr Antonio Costantini. In 2011, he developed a treatment using high doses of Vitamin B1, also known as Thiamine, with patients who were suffering with Parkinson's disease. This treatment is known to be safe, immediately available, inexpensive, and proven to improve the sufferers lives significantly.
The patients that he treated, experienced and showed evidence that their symptoms had improved by up to 70 percent, also with no further progression being experienced over a five year period. Yet, despite this clear and well documented evidence, there is still a great lack of awareness in the established medical world, about this vital alternative, effective life changing therapy.
Author, Daphne Bryan PhD, was herself diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2010 and has undergone detailed research into the work of Dr Costantini. She presents the various theories and hypotheses in her book, explaining the way that Thiamine works and the effect that this has on the brain. She also covers the effects of high dose B1 on the patients and the various other research that is available.
Daphne Bryan also details the protocol, as per the current understanding, for those patients and doctors who choose to further investigate and may then go on to adopt this protocol.
There is surely a need, even a sense of urgency, for health professionals to further research this therapy and acquaint themselves with a new set of powerful tools to fight Parkinson's.
More documented studies are needed however, before this treatment will ever be adopted by mainstream medicine. But do remember, Big Pharma cannot patent Thiamine, so there is no financial gain for these companies to be had with any detailed trials.
One day this protocol will surely all be widely used and understood and Dr Costantini’s work could well prove to be to Parkinson's Disease, what Dr Coimbra’s has proven to be to Multiple Sclerosis.
