About Digital Ecosystems
What is a Digital ecosystem?
Before the Internet and the digital era, the term ecosystem related to geographic areas, whereby plants, animals, and other organisms and lifeforms came together, along with natures various forces and activities in that region. These all work together often synergistically, to create a working system of ongoing life and growth.
A digital ecosystem on the other hand, usually relates to various digital based technologies, that will provide the user with information and solutions. The combined effect of all these systems and platforms working together, creates an environment for growth, efficiency, productivity and prosperity, whether this be for companies, small businesses and individuals.
Examples of Ecosystems
Most of us will know Amazon. Three of their key companies that often have elements of the others that work together include Amazon Alexa, Amazon Music, and AWS, Amazon Web Services.
Google (alphabet) have well over 250 high technology companies within their group providing various products and services, including amongst others, Google ads, Google Fiber, Fitbit, Android, Waze and Deep mind.
There is also the ONPASSIVE Ecosystem. This company has developed stand alone digital platforms for Email, Social Media, Video Conferencing, IP tracking, Domain Hosting, E-Learning and many more products are on the way.
It is also worth mentioning that Ecosystems are controlled by internal and external factors. As far as digital systems are concerned, one of the main external factors is Data, in terms of control, security and allocation.
ONPASSIVE now hosts all of its own Ecosystem internally, by full control of its own Data Centers
