About Java - A brief overview
What is Java?
Java is a programming language owned by Oracle.
This computing platform was first released by Sun Microsystems back in 1995. It has evolved from humble beginnings to power a large share of today's digital world, by providing the reliable platform upon which many services and applications are built.
Java is the world's third most popular programming language, after Python and C β according to the TIOBE index, which evaluates programming language popularity.
There are now more than 3 billion devices that run Java. It is especially used to construct applications in laptops, data centres, gaming, scientific equipment, specialised computers, Tablets, cell phones, and various other Android apps
Many new developers will learn something of Java. Compared to many other programming languages, it is fairly easy to learn and is friendly to beginners.
