What is a CRM and how does it help a business?

CRM = Customer Relationship Management. Nowadays this term usually refers to an online software app or system that helps a business to track its customer records, communications, enquiries, leads and ongoing relationships.

There are various CRM models in the market today, including HubSpot, EngageBay, Salesflare, O-Desk, Salesforce, Zoho. These can be free, or via a subscription, depending on the features required.

An effective CRM management tool will go way beyond customer record management and will actively help a businesses success via the use of AI, Machine learning etc.
