What is Edge Computing?
With the huge increase in Cloud services for various software platform functions, traditional computing methods are now becoming, slow and data quantity restrictive
Data processing continues to becomes the key area for all modern businesses. Edge computing is a type of distributed IT architecture, whereby the data is processed at the very edge of the network, but also as close to the original data source as possible.
Edge technology moves a large portion of the data storage and resources much closer to the Data source and away from the actual data centre. The actual data processing is done at the point where the Data is generated.
This offers a huge saving on Bandwidth, far greater than can be imagined.
This method of edge location computing, produces much improved response times and greatly saves on bandwidth. It also provides a greater insite into the likely business outcomes and also offers support to real-time operational business process and controls.
