About The Internet of Things - Overview
A brief look at a huge subject called The Internet of Things .....
The Internet of Things, is also known as IoT.
It describes the integration of various physical objects with sensors, processors, software, and other technologies, that connect and exchange data, with various other devices and systems over the Internet, intranet or other private networks.
In addition to computing devices and mechanical machines, IoT can be incorporated onto almost any objects, even including plant life, animals and people.
All enabled devices are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and have the ability to transfer data over the chosen network, without requiring any human interaction.
Examples of IoT devices are found in Smart Mobile Phones and Tablets, various vehicle devices, refrigerators, ovens, washing machines, smart watches, fire alarms, smart door locks, Doorbell and entry systems, e-bicycles, medical sensors, fitness trackers, smart security systems.
There are now so many millions of devices, evolving so rapidly, that IoT technology even has its own Blockchain called Helium, using radio Longfi technology and a crypto currency, called the HNT.
