What is a URL Trimmer?
A URL Trimmer is also referred to as a URL Shortener.
Basically it makes a long web page link much shorter, yet still function in exactly the same way as it did before shortening it.
The trimming process makes it easier to view, also to fit within a certain form field or screen space and in some cases, short enough so that it can be accurately typed into a Browser from memory.
URL trimmed links generally, are much more manageable and friendlier to view within emails, blogs, instant messages, Banners, publications and even business cards.
There are also more features available with some Apps than just URL trimming, such as URL tracking, email notification and adding an alias, to make the link even more short and memorable.
